
Dr. Richard Valdez
Dr. Richard Valdez is dedicated to successfully treating patients whose illnesses have defied prior diagnosis and treatment with traditional practices. He does this by focusing on the “cause” of the problem rather than treating the symptoms. Dr. Valdez views each patient as a unique individual and equal participant in his treatment plan.
Dr. Valdez practicing the science of Applied Kinesiology, a non-invasive method that helps him evaluates the functional physiologic performance of various organ systems. He specializes in treating chronic diseases, musculoskeletal disorders, orthopedic and sports related injuries.
He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at El Paso where he obtained his BA in Biology. He graduated cum laude from the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, IL in 1994. While attending the National College he was presented with the clinical achievement award in recognition for Standard of Professionalism and Clinical Accomplishment during his internship leading to his
Doctoral degree in Chiropractic.
Dedicated to excellence in both his personal and professional life, Dr. Valdez strives to build a family oriented practice aimed at increasing patients function and restoring them to optimal health. A native of El Paso, Texas, Dr. Valdez enjoys skiing, golfing, swimming, running and his work with the Special Olympics and most of all spending time with his wife Jeryl, son and daughter.

Dr. Norma Berma, DC
Dr. Berman received her doctorate in chiropractic medicine from National College of Chiropractic in 1991. She went on to receive physician-status certification in acupuncture from National University of Health Sciences. She received her Bachelor of Science with honors from the University of New Hampshire, Durham. Dr. Berman is dedicated to education and ensures that she provides the most current information and treatment options through her pursuit of postgraduate education, which includes, among others, KinesioTaping, Mackenzie methods, nutrition and rehabilitation.
In addition to her role as a chiropractic physician on the DuPage Health and Wellness team, Dr. Berman teaches Human Anatomy and Physiology for health care majors at College of DuPage.
Dr. Berman embraces a holistic view of health care, which incorporates acupuncture and nutrition as well as chiropractic adjustment and therapeutic exercise. She enjoys helping people of all ages and from all walks of life to achieve wellness, and athletes to perform at their best.
When she is not helping patients at DuPage Health and Wellness or teaching future health care providers at College of DuPage, Dr. Berman enjoys spending time with her husband and three children and training for marathons.

Erica Bartelmey, LMT
Erica has built an exceptional track record over the last decade as a massage therapist and works very closely with Dr. Valdez and Dr. Berman to insure that each treatment plan is actualized.
Erica graduated from Wellness and Massage Training in Woodridge, IL and under the tutelage of Ben Benjamin, National University of Health Sciences ~ Lombard, went on to receive Advance Certification in Neuromuscular and Orthopedic Massage. Erica is a nationally certified through N.C.T.M.B and holds an Illinois State License.
